Symphonic Band: Christmas Trip to Branson, Missouri
The Symphonic Band performed as the opening act for the Haygoods show at the Clay Cooper Theatre over Christmas Break.
Over the Christmas break, the CDA Symphonic Band took an exciting musical trip to the “Live Entertainment Capital of the World’ , Branson, Missouri. There the students got to have fun at some of the big attractions of the city, see and hear some phenomenal professional musicians, and also make their own contribution to the entertainment scene with a live performance of their own. The Symphonic Band performed as the opening act for the Haygoods show at the Clay Cooper Theatre. In front of a packed audience of over 1000 people, the students performed pieces from their fall concert including a solo flute piece performed by senior Lauren Joseph. The students did a phenomenal job and were loved by the audience. They then got to enjoy an amazing show from the Haygoods who blew everyone away with their talent and musicianship. It was a fantastic and memorable trip for all who attended.
