CDA FM Artists Earn Top Honors

I love that creating art is evidence of our identity as image bearers of God (Gen. 1:26-27). This truth is of much greater value than any competition or any score. Congratulations to our CDA artists who competed in art competitions and most of all, thank you for glorifying God as you share your artistic efforts and gifts with others.

2022 VASE ART COMPETITION
For the VASE competition students create artwork and write about their creative processes and understanding of visual art. The contest was judged virtually this year by individual VASE jurors, who evaluated work using a standards-based rubric. There are 29 regional events held all over the state. In our region alone there were 1,619 entries from 30 different schools.

All 12 works of art created by CDA students received the highest score and two* of those were selected to advance to the State VASE competition on April 29! CDA will be represented by: Alexa Barthel, "Minneapolis", marker on paper, and Anna Beckey, "Splash Into Summer", graphite on paper
