CDA FM Students Win Awards at TAPPS State One Act Play Competition

The TAPPS State One Act Play Meet on Saturday, November 12, featured the top eight schools in the state performing on the Cailloux Theatre stage in Kerrville, Texas. Coram Deo Academy’s One Act Play cast and crew of Blue Stockings placed 5th and were recognized with seven All-Star Cast individual awards, including Best Actor.
CDA’s cast and crew of nineteen competed against Dallas Christian School, Rosehill Christian School, Cypress Christian School, Prince of Peace Christian School, Lutheran High School, Veritas School, and Denton Calvary.
Individually recognized for their outstanding crew work were Mickey Bell as stage manager and Lauren Smith as lighting designer. Beth Burton, Lizzy Perrone, Ashlyn Richard, and Lindsey Vosburg were recognized on the All-Star Cast. Cooper Powell was recognized as the Best Actor of the day among the eight performances. This is the highest number of individual awards that CDA Theatre has ever received and the first time they have been awarded Best Actor.
