Practice What We Teach

Elizabeth Rogers
CDA Flower Mound 4th grader Remy Lim and his mother Mrs. Cafferata traveled to Washington, D.C. this summer for a special adventure. They visited the Library of Congress where they saw one of three perfect vellum copies of The Gutenberg Bible known to exist. Remy was a shining example of his CDA classical education when he shared all that he learned about The Gutenberg Bible and printing in school with one of the museum's curators.
While in the nation’s capital, Secretary of the Navy Carlos Del Toro announced that the future expeditionary sea base ship ESB 8 will be named in honor of Medal of Honor recipient and Korean War veteran Hector A. Cafferata Jr. PFC Cafferata (deceased) was Remy's great grandfather. Remy and his mom traveled together to Quantico, VA to the National Museum of the Marine Corps. to deliver their acceptance speech on behalf of Cafferata. According to Remy's mom, Remy spoke eloquently and with confidence, thanks to his great instruction and practice at Coram Deo Academy.
