partnering with families

Financial Aid

At Coram Deo Academy, we want to make a CDA education accessible to as many families as possible. We partner with a secure online service to process need-based financial aid applications. This provides our school with a fair and accurate analysis, helping us allocate resources wisely. All information is kept completely confidential.

The amount of financial aid available can vary each year, depending on the generosity of our donors. Applications open on November 15th, and we encourage families to apply early, as funds are limited. Our goal is to support families in making a Kingdom-focused investment in their child’s education.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you offer full tuition awards?

We are committed to making a CDA education accessible for families with demonstrated financial need. At this time, we only offer partial tuition awards; full tuition awards are not available.

What is included in the cost of tuition?

Tuition covers all core academic classes for each student. Families may also have additional expenses for items like electives, books, uniforms, and certain school fees (outlined above). To help keep costs manageable, CDA offers used book and uniform sales throughout the year, giving families an affordable way to purchase what they need.

Are payment plans available?

Families may choose from three payment plans: one payment, two payments, or a monthly installment plan. Please view our Tuition Guide for more payment details.

Do families receive a discount when enrolling multiple students?

The New Student Enrollment Fee is discounted 50% for the third and subsequent siblings in a family.

Does CDA offer a pastoral discount?

The New Student Enrollment Fee is discounted 50% for the children of pastors.

Is Texas establishing school vouchers or an Education Savings Account (ESA)?

Senate Bill 2 establishes a statewide Education Savings Account program beginning the 2026-2027 school year. In its first year, this initiative will provide approximately 80,000 eligible Texas students with funds to help cover approved educational expenses, including private school tuition.

Is my family eligible for an ESA to help pay tuition?

Eligibility for the ESA program is based on household income and student needs. If public demand for the program exceeds the funding available, distribution of funds will be prioritized based on the following:

  1. Siblings of students participating in the program.
  2. Students with disabilities from households earning up to 500% of the federal poverty level ($162,000 for a family of four).
  3. Students from households earning up to 200% of the federal poverty level ($64,300 for a family of four).
  4. Students from households earning between 200% and 500% of the federal poverty level ($64,300 to $162,000 for a family of four).
  5. Students from households at or above 500% of the federal poverty level, limited to no more than 20% of total ESA funds available. Students eligible for this priority must be moving from a public school.

We expect that few CDA families may be eligible for the program in its first year.

When can families begin using an ESA?

The ESA program starts in the 2026-2027 school year.

Can an ESA be used for PreK tuition?

If your student qualifies for public school PreK programs, ESA funds may be used for a private school PreK program.

Where can I learn more about the Education Savings Account program?

The Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts will oversee the Texas Education Savings Account program. Please visit their website to see information as it becomes available.

Does Coram Deo Academy qualify for the ESA program?

Yes. To participate in the ESA program, private schools must be accredited and have been in operation for at least two years. Coram Deo Academy meets both requirements—founded in 1999 and fully accredited by the Association of Classical Christian Schools (ACCS), an accrediting body recognized by the Texas Private School Accreditation Commission (TEPSAC).

Additionally, to be eligible for the program, schools must apply to participate. The CDA Board of Trustees will determine if CDA will apply once more information is available about religious protections for the school and the Comptroller’s office releases requirements related to the administration of the program (i.e. testing, timing, funding, etc.).
