From time to time around our house, little girls go running through the living room yelling,
“CDA is what? Red Hot!”
or…
“Da, da da da da, Hey! Go Lions!”
There’s no shortage of school spirit going on over here. All from a couple of Friday nights spent under the lights cheering on the Lions.
We went because our son is in the pep band, but I was pleasantly surprised at how much fun it was for everyone. Our kids got to enjoy a night with their friends outside of the structure of the classroom and we got to spend time visiting as we watched, listened and cheered.
The pep band really serves up the school spirit. They support the yell leaders. They help the students voice their enthusiasm. They give the parents an opportunity to clap and cheer. And they sound pretty fabulous in their own rite.
From all the typical sports tunes you know and love to the theme from the Incredibles, the pep band serves up a mini concert every home game.
You have one more opportunity to cheer on the Lions, enjoy the pep band and get to know other CDA families. There’s just one more home football game, so come join the fun.
