CDA Students Participate in Memory Project

Ten advanced art students from CDA created heartfelt portraits as special gifts for children who have faced war, violence, poverty, neglect, family loss, or other challenges, as a part of Memory Project.
This year, they drew portraits for children from Cameroon. Memory Project (www.memoryproject.org) is dedicated to promoting intercultural understanding and kindness between children around the world through school-based art programs. These portraits are delivered with thousands of others in a giant portrait reveal event. A photo of the CDA artist was taped to the back of each portrait. They say the children are most excited to see the face of who created their portrait. It’s a connection that leads us to remember—and then pray for—the person and their story.
