The CDA Dallas Lecture Series returns: The Liturgy of Small Talk

The Coram Deo Academy Dallas Campus lecture series returns for the 2019-20 school year!

Last year we explored principles of classical education, the relationship between virtue and social media, and invited author S.D. Smith to share about his Green Emberseries.

Our 2019-20 series kicks-off on September 16th with a talk by Rev. Jon Jordan titled The Liturgy of Small Talk

Dinner, drinks, and coffee will be available for purchase. Come early, and make it a date night! These lectures are open to our other CDA campuses and the public, so please feel free to bring a friend.

Please RSVP here if you plan to attend!
“Where are you going to school next year? What do you want to be when you grow up? How was the test?”

It is not just the mere repetition of these questions that should cause us to reconsider asking them; the questions themselves betray the Christian vision of the good life that many of us have tried to instill in the very people of whom we ask them.

Can we train ourselves to ask better questions, and in so doing, develop a liturgy of small talk?

On November 18th we will hear from a panel of CDA parents and faculty on Thriving (and surviving) At-home Days.

We are pleased to be back at Communion Neighborhood Cooperative for our Lecture Series this year! 514 Lockwood Dr, Richardson, TX 75080
