The Sound of Music!

CDA proudly celebrates the outstanding achievements of its band students who were selected to participate in the prestigious TPSMEA All-State Clinic and Concert, held January 29–31 at the Eisemann Center in Richardson, Texas.
On Saturday, January 31, seven students from the CDA Flower Mound Symphonic Band and one student from CDA Dallas performed in the All-State ensembles.
Two students were selected for the All-State Jazz Band under the direction of world-renowned composer, arranger, and performer Mr. Kris Berg, while six students performed in the All-State Band under the direction of Mr. Brian Youngblood of Texas Christian University.
The following students represented CDA:

- Audra Christiansen (FM)
- Abby Golz (FM)
- Jacob Witt (FM)
- Levi Robertson (FM)
- Scott Auvenshine (FM)
- Isaac Rinn (FM)
- Gabe Gerth (Dallas)
Several students earned distinguished chair placements:
- Levi Robertson – 1st Chair French Horn
- Faith Presley – 1st Chair Piccolo
- Isaac Rinn – 2nd Chair Jazz Band Trumpet
- Gabe Gerth – 2nd Chair Jazz Band Drum Set
Additionally, Faith Presley and Isaac Rinn were recognized for their outstanding solo performances during the concert.
Mrs. Bowen and Mr. Thacker expressed great pride in the many hours of discipline, preparation, and perseverance these students demonstrated throughout the rigorous All-State audition and selection process.
