Erin Hull

Erin Hull served as a grammar-level teacher at Coram Deo Academy’s Flower Mound Campus for 10 years before being named Grammar Principal in 2026. As both an educator and a CDA parent, Mrs. Hull brings a valuable perspective to her leadership role and is deeply committed to the school's mission, vision, distinctives, and educational philosophy.

Mrs. Hull earned her Master Teacher certification through Coram Deo Academy and the Association of Classical Christian Schools (ACCS). She brings extensive expertise in foundational learning and classical education, having served on numerous curriculum committees responsible for assessing and writing curriculum, evaluating new programs, and mentoring faculty.

Mrs. Hull and her husband, Andy, have been married for 25 years and have three children: Emery, a student at Hillsdale College; Ivy, a student at Abilene Christian University; and Owen, a current student at Coram Deo Academy.

Yvette Cavender

Headmaster

Yvette Cavender began her partnership with CDA as a parent in 2004, when her children were in grammar school.  Soon after, she began teaching second grade and is now the Grammar School Principal at the Flower Mound campus. She has seen the benefits of classical education play out in the lives of her own children and considers it a privilege to collaborate with others in teaching and training students under CDA’s model.

Mrs. Cavender holds bachelor’s degrees from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in Political Science and Economics. She is currently pursuing her Master of Arts in Leadership for Classical Christian School Administration from Gordon College. She is a certified teacher in the state of Texas and holds a Master Teacher certificate from the Association of Classical Christian Schools (ACCS).

Mrs. Cavender is a strong advocate for classical education. She has presented breakout sessions at classical education conferences such as ACCS, Society for Classical Learning (SCL), and University-Model® Schools International (UMSI). She has spoken about the art of narration on classical education podcasts, participated in seminars regarding school safety, and published articles about creating a classical aesthetic in schools. In support of the classical school movement, she spends time serving on school accreditation teams.

Yvette and her husband live in Carrollton. Their son Chapin is a computational biophysicist at UC-San Diego and their daughter Raegan is currently a stay-at-home mom, but a grammar school teacher by trade.

Kristan Williams

Logic School Principal

Mrs. Kristan Williams has served at Coram Deo Academy’s Flower Mound Campus since August 2011. She began her work at CDA teaching 5th grade before moving into mathematics instruction for 5th, 6th, and 7th graders until moving into her current position as the Logic School Principal. Prior to joining CDA, Kristan helped launch a University-Model® School in The Woodlands, TX.

As Principal, Kristan desires to shepherd the hearts and minds of Logic School students during these formative middle school years. She hopes to encourage their growth in wisdom and virtue, while also walking alongside their families in a spirit of collaboration. Believing that education is discipleship, Kristan is committed to cultivating a Christ-centered culture where students are mentored to love the true, the good, and the beautiful.

Kristan and her husband, Cory, have been married since 1993 and are grateful parents to three children—all graduates of Coram Deo Academy.

DeAnne Thomas

Rhetoric School Principal

DeAnne Thomas grew up in the DFW area and is a proud graduate of Texas A&M University, where she earned her undergraduate degree in education. She later completed her master’s in educational administration at the University of North Texas. DeAnne began her career teaching math at both of her alma maters, Hurst Junior High and L.D. Bell High School, also coaching and even driving a school bus during her time at Hurst Junior High. She then transitioned into school administration, serving at the high school level in Carroll ISD.

After the birth of her first child, DeAnne stepped away from public education to focus on her family. In 2018, she and her husband, Brad, enrolled their daughters at CDA. DeAnne joined the CDA faculty in 2019 as a math teacher and stepped into her current role as Rhetoric School Principal in 2023.

DeAnne and Brad have been married for over 20 years and have two daughters, one a 2023 graduate of CDA and one in the Class of 2026. She has a deep passion for partnering with parents, students, and faculty to cultivate wise thinkers and ethical servant-leaders who will shape culture for the glory of God. DeAnne considers it a joy and a privilege to walk alongside students during these formative years, helping them grow in character, confidence, and a love for learning. She is grateful to serve in a community that values truth, pursues excellence, and seeks Christ in all things. Her desire is for every student to be known, challenged, and encouraged as they discover the gifts God has given them and learn how to steward those gifts for His purposes.
