Local Pastor, J.T. English, once again visits, as a favorite speaker, 12th Grade AP History to discuss George Whitefield
In Dr. Heitschmidt’s A.P. United States History class, Pastor J.T. English from the Village Church, came in to lecture over George Whitefield and discuss his impact on 18th century Britain and the colonies.
The students were amazed to learn how God used Whitefield so powerfully in the 18th century and is still using his sermons to influence many today. Whitefield was a friend to the Wesley brothers as well as to Benjamin Franklin. Living and walking the earth the same years as Franklin, yet each having a very different views of God. The students had some great questions and Pastor English was very impressed with them and relishes the chance to come back next year.
