Welcome from the Admission Director
Thank you for your interest in Coram Deo Academy where professional educators collaborate with parents to educate Christian youth to live all of life coram deo. This Latin phrase means “before God” or “in God’s presence” and describes our intent: all our endeavors, all of our studies are to be done in God’s presence and to His glory.
As you begin exploring the many educational options available to you, we trust that this website will introduce you to our program and whet your appetite for learning more at a Campus Visit Day or Academy Preview. The admission process has several stops on a journey which we hope ends at Coram Deo’s doors and begins a special learning partnership.
If you wish to receive regular notices about admission to CDA, please submit an information request.
In the words of my husband and household bard, Greg Rogers, consider how the academy’s mission will prepare your child for his or her life’s calling:
Coram Deo Academy, a school for head and heart
As Virgil said to Dante, “It is the place to start.”
With that allusion, and much more, your children will contend
Let this site be your Virgil, your mentor, and your friend.
The tools of learning end with contemplation of the Good
It doesn't always happen but at least it always should.
Here at the beginning, there is toil and sweat and strain
And somewhere in the distance there is Peace and Truth to gain.
Classical Christian studies is not an idle boast
It’s oh-so Aristotelian, infused with the Holy Ghost.
It shaped the face of Christendom, and will so once again
As Christian men and women face a newer lion's den.
The Philistines have once more sent their giants to the field
And many wise men say that it is wisest just to yield.
But somewhere there's a child, armed with a sling, who stands alone
And laughs at modern terrors, for this school is his stone.
