Sixth Grade Mathematics
This course begins the transition from concrete mathematical operations to more abstract formula development which is Algebra. Students also will continue to master the use of fractions, mixed numbers, decimal numbers and the four basic operations of arithmetic. As students practice basic arithmetic they will make simple adaptations to more abstract truths that can be derived from their previous learning from a Christian worldview. The creation of numbers and all its absolutes will point toward God, the creator and perfector of our faith. A fundamental philosophical underpinning at this grade is the recognition of absolute truths.
