Seventh Grade Language
Latin 1/2
Coram Deo Academy Latin 1/2 students will learn beginning vocabulary, grammar, and translation from Jenny’s First Year Latin, 1990, Prentice Hall by Charles Jenny. Students will memorize vocabulary, understand grammar, and learn to apply the vocabulary and grammar to the reading translation process. Students are introduced to English vocabulary derived from Latin words they are currently studying, enriching their vocabulary and preparing for future university testing. Students review and sharpen their English grammar as they learn Latin grammar. World-view perspectives will be addressed in each of the first twenty chapters of this college text with classical cultural items, which students will relate to their world today.
