PreKindergarten History
Social Studies
The Prekindergarten student will be able to give the name of his/her town, learn name, address, and phone number, name significant family members, recognize different family structures, identify and follow classroom rules, describe people’s jobs and what is required to perform them, cooperate with others, connect past events to current events, recognize changes in the environment over time, begins to understand the cause and effect relationships, begins to categorize time intervals using words, identifies common features in the local landscape, creates simple representations of home, school, or community through drawings, begins to use words to indicate relative locations, understand the basic human needs of all people for food, clothing, and shelter, understands the roles, responsibilities, and services provided by community workers, and becomes aware of what it means to be a consumer.
