Although the beginning of the 2008-2009 school year is still many months away, Coram Deo Academy is actively preparing for a new academic year. As in the past, CDA’s priority re-enrollment period for continuing students coincides with the new calendar year. Current students who re-enroll within the month of January retain their seats in their core day of attendance, and the $250 Re-enrollment Fee is waived.
Effective January 1, 2008, families wishing to re-enroll their children at CDA for the coming school year may do so via their family login. This online process only takes about 10-15 minutes, yet assures that your family will reap the benefits of a continued classical Christian education.
In response to SACS recommendations and as part of our ongoing effort to assure qualitative school improvement, an online survey is included in the re-enrollment process. It will take about 5-10 minutes to complete and is a required step for all returning students. You only need to take the survey one time (even if you are re-enrolling more than one child). We value your opinion and seek to improve our program through your support.
CDA sincerely desires to continue its unique school-family collaboration with each and every one of you as we educate Christian youth to live all of life before God. In order to ensure a firm financial foundation, modest tuition increases are to be expected annually. The new schedule of Tuition and Fees reflects an average increase of less than 9% and includes additional Tuition Assistance for qualifying families. For more information about this confidential process, please click here .
Early enrollment ensures students a reserved place and enables CDA to contract with staff during the spring hiring season. Because Coram Deo Academy makes contractual commitments to faculty and staff based upon enrollment, this annual obligation must be met even if a student withdraws from a class. Therefore, all tuition and fees are still due in full once a student has filed an Enrollment Covenant (either paper or electronic copy). Please click here for CDA’s withdrawal policy.
2008-2009 RE-ENROLLMENT
Coram Deo Academy will honor enrollment requests in the following manner:
TRANSFER REQUESTS
Students re-enrolling for the same day on the same campus are offered their returning seat first. Transfer requests may be difficult to accommodate because some grade levels and/or core days of attendance are already at capacity. Although every effort will be made to honor your requested day of attendance, there is no guarantee that day/campus transfers will be possible. In most cases, notification will be given by mid-February.
A free shuttle service departs from the Carrollton campus for high school students going to the Flower Mound campus. It is rarely feasible to transfer all children to the Flower Mound campus when an older child from Carrollton is now enrolled in high school.
NEW STUDENT APPLICATIONS
Some grade levels and core day of attendance may have less availability than others at specific campuses. CDA will make every effort to accommodate your request; however, the school cannot fully guarantee a seat until its re-enrollment period closes on January 31. Though not likely, it is possible that your child may be placed on a waiting list.
In the past, nearly all wait-listed applicants were offered a place by mid-spring. Most sections will be determined by mid-February. Applicants to grades five-12 may take the ISEE even if wait listed. Younger students will not be scheduled for testing until a seat has been confirmed; the admission staff will notify you as soon as one is available.
Where students compete for limited seats, priority will be given to returning students who re-enroll within the month of January and their siblings who apply by Jan. 31. Applications from new families will be prioritized according to the date of application. As of February 1, all students (new and returning) are granted equal consideration for a requested day.
New applicants must pay the non-refundable Application Fee within one week of making application in order to maintain their place on the class roster or waiting list. Should an opening not become available by August 1, CDA will refund this fee in full upon request.
