How is testing scheduled?
Applicants for grades 5-12 take the Independent Schools Entrance Exam (ISEE)
which is scheduled through the Educational Records Bureau (ERB.) Parents may
pick up an ISEE Student Guide and instruction letter at any Coram Deo Academy
campus (click here to see the
instruction letter)
Can the application fee be paid on the test day?
No, the non-refundable application fee must be received prior to testing.
Payment of the $78 fee to the ERB is due with the test registration (see below);
$125 application fee is paid directly to Coram Deo Academy by credit card when
submitting the online application or by check (made payable to CDA) mailed/hand
delivered to the appropriate campus. Please clearly indicate applicant’s
name, grade level and campus on all correspondence.
How do we register for the ISEE?
Registration for the ISEE must be done through the mail. The
registration form is located in the envelope in the center of the ISEE Student
Guide which can be picked up at any CDA campus. The registration deadline for
all ISEE tests is at least three weeks prior
to the testing date. (See also www.erbtest.org.)
Can I still register for the test if I miss the registration
deadline?
There are two types of late registration, both requiring an additional fee.
Both options are thoroughly explained in the ISEE Student Guide and are summarized
below.
Where and when is testing offered?
ISEE testing will be offered monthly at Coram Deo Academy for students
entering grades 5-12. The primary test site is the Flower Mound Lower School
Campus (click here for map/directions).

black ink pen, a small snack and drink, and a sweater in case the testing room
is cool. Students also must bring their verification
letter (received in the mail from Educational Records Bureau.)
What should my child wear?
Students taking the ISEE are invited to dress casually, but asked not
to wear jeans.
Can supporting documents be turned in on the test day?
It is best to mail or hand deliver supporting documents to the campus to which
your child is applying rather than bringing them on the test day. All documentation
must be turned in prior to the admission interview.
Should a parent stay on campus during the test session?
Since students will be on campus for approximately four hours, parents of students
taking the ISEE are asked not to stay during testing.
When we will get the test results?
ISEE test results are usually received by Coram Deo Academy and parents within
one week of testing. They will be reviewed by the School Director with parents/student
during the admission interview.
Who do I contact if I have questions about the ISEE?
Please contact Kathy Schaefer, Coram Deo Academy Testing Coordinator, at the
Administration Offices (972-691-5648 ext. 311) or by email at kschaefer@coramdeoacademy.org
