Fourth Grade Language
Latin Prelude II
Realizing that Latin was the first common language in which the Scriptures were made available to the masses to facilitate literacy, Fourth graders learn Latin vocabulary in the first and second declensions nouns and adjectives to begin learning the etymology of words and lay a basis for discovering roots to many of our “English” words.
Spelling
The study of correct spelling demonstrates an increasing awareness that God is the author of language and see his attributes and sovereignty in the language he has preserved for us to learn and use to reflect his glory to our world in oral and written communication.
