Dear Friend,

Thank you for your continued prayer and support for Coram Deo Academy. Many of you have contributed directly to our growth and progress, resulting in many wonderful things for our three Coram Deo Academy campuses.  We feel blessed daily to work with you and your children, as we strive to train ethical leaders and wise thinkers who will shape culture for the glory of God. You have trusted us with much by allowing us to assist in the education of your children.

This year we are privileged to have adequate facilities for our Flower Mound, Carrollton and new north Dallas campus. While we celebrate having a new temporary facility for our Flower Mound high school, a renewed lease at our Carrollton school and a new lease for our Dallas campus, we also recognize that came with a cost above what we have previously incurred. In addition, we recognize that we have operated on an “essentials only” basis for some time and realize that this translates into not having many of the accoutrements that many schools offer which would greatly benefit our students and teachers.

Our Academy fills a unique niche, working to educate youth in a historic Christian worldview through a classical curriculum and a school-home partnership. The Academy is not affiliated with a particular denomination and is not funded by one church congregation; tuition and fees pay for the bulk of the school’s operational costs. We have worked to keep costs down and our tuition reasonable; we want no one to be turned away for lack of tuition and fees. This means our budget does not include what many schools would classify as typical educational classroom needs.  Meeting these needs will allow us to enrich our classrooms and continue the excellence we desire.

So we invite you to help us and to trust us further by sharing a gift to Coram Deo Academy to meet these needs. The Bible tells us that as you generously and cheerfully give to God’s work, you will be blessed in your work.  We pledge to you to be faithful stewards as you entrust us to wisely invest your contribution for your child’s educational needs.

Specific needs include:

In addition, there are unique needs on our campuses:

FLOWER MOUND CAMPUS
In Flower Mound, purchase of a property has provided many new opportunities, including the benefit of applying for K-12 accreditation, which we expect to be awarded in December from the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. But that purchase has also required renovation of the Grammar School facility, architectural planning work and preparation for approval of the temporary buildings by the Flower Mound Planning and Zoning board and Town Council, site utility work, and leasing of temporary buildings to house the Flower Mound high school. We appreciate that one of our families generously donated $10,000 that enabled us to install art work and new office furnishings in the new, temporary classroom buildings on the Flower Mound campus, but there are additional needs, such as:

  1. Dining furniture
    • Indoor and outdoor Bistro/café tables, chairs, umbrellas etc.
    • Rolling and collapsible lunchroom tables for multipurpose room
  2. Entry canopy, car line cover and playground cover for the Grammar school ($50,000)

Work has begun to plan for a $1.5 million capital campaign to fund development of phase one of the property. Capital Campaign Committee Cochairmen are Chad Hennings and Dr. Jay Mahoney; committee members include David Beardsley, Matt and Karen Drennan, Dave Juring, Shannon Mahoney, Chuck Neal and Megan Pigott. Leaders are being recruited and leadership gifts of $15,000 or more are currently being solicited. If you would like to be involved as a leader in the campaign, please contact one of the committee members or our Development Office at 800.465.0561 ext. 166.

Please do not hesitate to call or e-mail your school director, CDA development officer Louise Henry, or me if you have questions or would like to help in some way. Classes could cooperatively fund or designate a contribution for the purchase of a needed item. Gifts of any size will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your continued support of and assistance to CDA.  We ask for your prayerful consideration of this request for support of our classical education program.  May the Lord bless your time and efforts and show mercy to your households.

Grace and peace,

Rodney Marshall
President
