Capital Campaign Phases
Phase One
The goal of Phase One is to provide a permanent built environment to house all academic, artistic, athletic and administrative functions for the Flower Mound PreK-12 operation until additional enrollment requires expansion.
Renovate Buildings to add 12 Classrooms
In order to replace the modular classroom structure and economically add classroom space, renovate the current permanent buildings to house 12 additional classrooms. Renovate the current 6,700 square foot multipurpose facility to house 7 classrooms, the 1,900 square foot church office building to house 3 classrooms and add 2 classrooms to the lower school facility. The campus would then provide 22 classrooms, the multipurpose building, practice fields parking and circulation to house all PreK-12 programming for daily enrollment of 350 students. Since the newly installed modular classroom structure must be removed by August 2009, this project is the highest priority.
Build Multipurpose Facility
Desired is a 23,000 square foot facility that includes a multi-use space with competition grade flooring, equipment, collapsing bleachers and a stage supported by lobby, store, exercise and locker rooms. Using movable partitions, this space will serve as an assembly space of varying sizes, a dining facility, box theatre for dramas and concerts and as a gymnasium. A new entry off Skillern and expanded parking capacity will allow for demolition of the current entry and expansion of the practice field to a full 100 yards.
Phase Two
Additional Classroom Building, New Entry and Ball Fields
Construct the next classroom building, new grand entrance off Wichita Trail complete the perimeter drive and additional paring. Remove the remaining portion of current parking lot and complete ball fields suitable for every outdoor athletic function except varsity football games that will be played elsewhere in a stadium. The campus provides 34 classrooms for daily attendance by 550 students.
Beyond Phase Two
- Construct an arts facility with gallery, loft studios and music rooms.
- Demolish the original school building and replace it with a new classroom facility.
- Construct the commons with dining rooms and library and perhaps a sloped floor 500-seat auditorium, stage and back stage space. This building would connect the classroom and multipurpose facilities via covered walkways and be surrounded by a pedestrian garden, highlighting the beauty of God’s creation for all who pass through.
- Demolish the house and construct a science center specially designed for study and experimentation in the natural and physical sciences.
- Demolish the original multipurpose facility and replace it with a new classrooms facility with 12 classrooms.
