An education at CDA is a vigorous adventure where students learn about the world and begin to think for themselves. They do not just master facts; they gain tools for thinking and speaking with logic and rhetoric. They absorb Christian principles and ethics, intertwined with lessons in history.
CDA works to train ethical leaders and wise thinkers who will shape culture for the glory of God.

CURRICULUM
Coram Deo Academy teaches a Christian worldview through a vigorous, classical curriculum and genuine family/school collaboration.
The liberal arts curriculum is based on the classical Trivium model of grammar, logic and rhetoric; and the Quadrivium including mathematics, sciences, music and arts as well as theology and apologetics. Latin is introduced to students in the third grade.
TUITION/BENEFITS
From its beginning in 1999, Coram Deo Academy was structured so parents would be involved in the education of their children. CDA offers full-time instruction through two options:

CDA is focused on the revival of the Christian family. The majority of students attend school three days a week and work at home under the guidance of their parents the other days. The five days per week option is offered to fill expressed needs and to continue CDA’s outreach.
Time required for the at-home school varies based on grade level and capability of each child. However, an example is that at third-grade level slightly more than four and one-half hours is required on the at-home school days.
ARTS AND ATHLETICS
The arts are important in the development of students. The relatively small campus enrollment allows maximum participation in arts and extracurricular activities, including the visual arts, music and Shakespearean drama. Not surprisingly, CDA students excel in interscholastic speech and debate competition. CDA participates in TAPPS speech and drama, and other co-curricular arts, music and athletics activities.
Athletics is an important component of classical education. God created the physical, as well as the social, intellectual and spiritual. The word “gymnasium” has a historic meaning of training the whole youth in body, mind and spirit. Just as hundreds of years ago Greeks employed the gymnasium as an organized youth training program in literacy, ethics, sport, hunting and warfare, today physicality and athletics are part of the educational experience for CDA students.
Distinctive High School House system
Student-government opportunities are available through a House system, which also provides opportunities for students to develop leadership skills, establish school honor and spirit and serve the community. All students within each family are assigned to a House. Students also gain from the extracurricular activities and competitive spirit which are added into points awarded for individual and team performance in academics, athletics, arts and service.
CHRISTIAN
At CDA, students, parents, faculty and staff find joy in God’s Word and His works. CDA students study all the things God has made, including truth found in discoveries made by Christians and non-Christians. While virtues are taught, CDA does not emphasize a character development class or mandated chapel service as a primary part of daily lessons, because the Word of God is not isolated to a specific time. Rather it lives throughout the curriculum integrated by every teacher.
Coram Deo Academy is nondenominational, with more than 200 churches represented by enrolled families. Students come from different backgrounds, but share a common belief in the Nicene Creed. They are like herbs or spices that season a dish with delightful differences as they intermingle to live life wisely before God.
While average students who are dedicated to study can excel at CDA, the education students receive is truly preparatory for college. CDA graduates report that they have an easy transition to college.
