This list is color-coded, with red indicating a consumable book that must be purchased new or never used, and blue a “classroom distribution” item. These blue items are titles that Saxon makes available in “classroom kits”, which are much less expensive per student than their home study kits. The cost of classroom distribution items will automatically be charged to your student’s bill. The green items are published by Coram Deo Press and will be distributed in class the first week of school and automatically charged as well.
ISBN NUMBERS ARE LIKE FINGERPRINTS:
ISBN numbers are unique identifiers of editions of books. Any book you purchase used must have the exact listed ISBN number (the dashes don’t count) to insure that it is the correct edition so that when the teacher says, “Let’s all turn to page 47...”, everybody is truly “on the same page”. The exception to this would be the Reformation Study Bible, since it is demarcated by chapter and verse.
SAXON MATH:
Saxon Math curriculum must be purchased according to the ISBN #. We have transitioned to new Saxon Incremental Math editions (Saxon 54,65,76,) to take advantage of course improvements. Purchasing older versions of the edition listed will put your student at a disadvantage. This applies as well to Saxon Algebra ½ and Algebra 1.
REPEATED TEXTS:
Some books are used in several grades. We have listed when this occurs. Please examine the list closely to get a comprehensive listing of the books that will be required for your student. This list does not include non-book items such as lab and material fees that are required in some courses.
